This category groups articles that have at least some of their taxonomy based on information from the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) database. Their taxonomies should be checked against authoritative taxonomic databases (or the primary scientific literature) and, if necessary, amended. This category is only for existing articles with this issue, new taxonomic articles should not be written using NCBI taxonomies.
