Arturo Soria y Mata (1844-1920) was a Spanish urban planner. He was most famous for his Linear City (Ciudad Lineal) of Madrid. The Spanish diplomat Carmelo Soria, who was assassinated by the Chilean DINA in 1976, was Arturo Soria's nephew.
