Arsalan Ghahramani

Arsalan Ghahramani is a researcher in the area of Soil Mechanics.Many have considered him as father of Soil Mechanics of Iran. He has made significant contributions in the area of Soil Mechanics(particularly Zero Extension Line Theory for several applications in soil mechanics and foundation engineering). He obtained his Ph.D from the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Princeton.
Ghahramani is currently Professor of Geotechnical Engineering at the Engineering Department of University of Shiraz. Some of his major contributions are graduating first Iranian students in soil mechanics and foundation engineering and design of Tehran Tower foundation, 440 meters high.
