Arquata del Tronto is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Ascoli Piceno in the Italian region Marche, located about 100 km south of Ancona and about 25 km southwest of Ascoli Piceno. As of 31 December 2005, it had a population of 1,420 and an area of 92.6 km².[1]
The municipality of Arquata del Tronto contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Pretare, Trisungo, Piedilama, Borgo, Spelonga, and Colle.
Arquata del Tronto borders the following municipalities: Accumoli, Acquasanta Terme, Montegallo, Montemonaco, Norcia, Valle Castellana.
