I was tempted to remove the sentence listing places where Böcklin had lived as this appears to incomplete and I'm not sure it enhances the account of Böcklin's life and work. Politepunk 18:01, 4 March 2006 (UTC)
I think I'm right in saying that the Isle of the Dead was the inspiration for Rachmaninov's tone-poem of the same title. If I'm correct then this information should be included in the article.

I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use.
