A traditional symbol of hope for the prosperity of a newly married couple.
While the true origin of the tradition is the subject of some debate among historians, the most favored theory holds that the wedding log was selected for a newly married couple as the main supporting beam in the house they must build together.
The wedding log is traditionally selected by witnesses to the wedding, and presented following the "arzganapatkutʻyamb u iravunkʻnerov" or "ceremonial giving of the sheep and goats."
