French born entrepreneur Armand Rousso settled in the United States in 1982.
A visionary and entrepreneur, Rousso was one of the first people in history to truly grasp the power of the Internet. In the mid-1980’s, when the Internet was virtually an unknown entity, Rousso started what is widely regarded as the first e-commerce company: The International Stamp Exchange. The foresight of this project was truly remarkable, paving the way for online marketplaces, and showing the World how the power of technology and the Internet can change the way people conduct commerce and access information.

Rousso has come a long way since his teenage days in Paris when he used to barter old stamps for meals in a Chinese restaurant; In 1985 he traded $45 million (book value) in rare stamps.

Rousso is very active in International Chess and sponsored several World Championship Matches with his company X3D Technologies, including Garry Kasparov vs Anatoly Karpov (2002) and Garry Kasparov vs X3D Fritz (2003). [1]
