books: Can't name the lot here!!..recent reads: "Code name god" by Dr.Mani Bhaumik, Just finished third canto of the SRIMAD BHAGVATAM,rereading"Emperor's New Mind" by Penrose,also rediscovered how good Asimov is recently[:D]...recommended read:"end of eternity";currently (re)reading: The Complete works of Shakespeare ( especially after Omkara!)

music: rock( harder the better!)..but of late am getting drawn towards trying and promoting indian rock which really rocks!!..my faves include the likes of Brahma,Agni,Parikrama, PDV,Strings & those Sayyonee guys "Junoon" (tho these guys are Pakis),also bengali rock bands like Bhoomi, Fossils, Crosswinds(sexy lead guitarist!!) etc... also...ghazals esp. those by Ghulam ali, kishore kumar's golden greats, indian and western classical music esp. Bade Ghulam ali, Zakir Hussain ,Pt. B.Joshi & MS.Subbu., also love beethoven ,bach, tchaikovsky & mozart(Obee!)..am also a HUGE fan of A.R.Rahman & Illayaraja

tv shows: Friends,Seinfeld,Frasier,Fresh prince of Bel-air, Full House, M.A.S.H, and..."Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi!" ( nah!..jus' kidding!)P.S: have stopped watching television except for the FIFA world cup and an odd news broadcast movies: Braveheart, As Good As it gets, Sleepless In Seattle, Sholay, Andaaz Apna Apna,Deewana Mastaana, Spartacus,Ben Hur,God father( all parts!),Agneepath,DDLJ,matrix (part uno wonly) etc..add to this list the Spiderman series which is getting better by the sequel!! :) loved almost all the movies( that i have seen) by Kurosawa/Ray/Kubrick/Lucas/Spielberg/Majidi

cuisines: indian !!...esp. bengali, punjabi and tamil cuisine..unfortunately(??)..I've quit non-vegetarian stuff recently
