Arkansas Highway 41

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Highway 41 is a north-south highway in southwestern Arkansas. Its northern terminus is in DeQueen, Arkansas at U.S. Highway 71, U.S. Highway 70, U.S. Highway 59 and U.S. Highway 371. It has a short concurrency in DeQueen with U.S. 70 Business then winds its way south, passing through the communities of Horatio and Foreman before ending at the Texas State Line where it becomes State Highway 8.

Another section of AR 41 begins at Highway 23 at Chismville and runs north, ending at Highway 96 at Cecil. This section also includes a short concurrency with Highway 22 at Charleston. Actually Highway 41 doesn't end at Cecil, but instead crosses Highway 96 and continues North for about three more miles and ends at the Arkansas River at a Corps of Engineers park called Citadel Bluff (pronounced locally as City Dell Bluff). This park consists of campsites, toilets, no showers, boat ramp, and an abandoned picnic ground up on the bluff overlooking the park.
