Argentina third military dictatorship

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Argentina third military dictatorship refers to the military junta that ruled Argentina from 1966 to 1973, under Juan Carlos Onganía, Roberto M. Levingston and Alejandro Agustín Lanusse, starting with Onganía's toppling (in a coup d’état) the democratically elected president of that time Arturo Illia (Radical Civic Union, UCR).[1][2] The coup d'etat is known as "El Golpe Militar" of 1966 .[3]
