Arch bridge construction using temporary cantilevers.

The arch will support suspension cables to hold the deck supporting the traffic lanes.

At the top of the arch is a temporary jack bridge, used to stabilize and push the arch apart to make room for the installation of the final segments.

The green band is window tinting on the vehicle from which the picture was taken.

Shanghai, China, late September 2002.
