The Arborg Ice Dawgs are a Junior "B" ice hockey team based in Arborg, Manitoba. They play in the Keystone Junior Hockey League (KJHL).

[edit] 2006-2007: First season
The Arborg Ice Dawgs joined the Keystone Junior Hockey League as an expansion club for the 2006-07 season, and they played their first KJHL game October 5, 2006 against the St. Boniface Saints (Formerly known as the Winnipeg Jr B Saints). The Ice Dawgs got their first hockey club win against the St. Malo Warriors in St. Malo, Manitoba. They won their first game by a final score of 5-4. Arborg didn't get their first home win until November 4, 2007 against the Norway House North Stars. The Ice Dawgs completely downed the North Stars with a final of 8-1. In just his rookie season, team leading scorer Brennan Zasitko finished the year with 61 points (20, 41) in just 35 games, Zasitko was tied in 8th place with 2 other players. Tough guy Bryant Gudmundson lead the team in penalty minutes, finishing 5th among the entire league with 204 penalty minutes. The Ice Dawgs finished 6th in the final standings, and where knocked out in the first round by the North Winnipeg Satellites in 6 games.
