[edit] When anarchists attack video

I looked for the video you mention in your recent edits to 2004 Republican National Convention protest activity, but couldn't find any live links. (The jasonn.com site seems to have been down for maintenance since February and the other mirrors are either down or give "document not found" errors.) Do you know where it can be found?

"In addition, a group of anarchists assaulted members of the Protest Warrior group and attempted to destroy their signs. The incident was captured on video. [1]" Bubamara 4 July 2005 08:22 (UTC)

Sorry, I checked around other websites using a Google search but it seemed that all the of the links were dead. I contacted a person who ran one of those websites, and while he didn't want to put up a copy for bandwidth concernts (a link on Wikipedia would probably suck up his bandwidth), he did send me a copy. I don't have any kind of hosting myself either, so I uploaded it to RapidShare. Please click here for the link:

Scroll down, click "Free", and after a few seconds, a download link should show up. I apoligize for the inconvenience. I probably can't answer any more specific questions about the video (I don't engage in any of the protest activities of the group, they're a little too "neo-connish" for me, but I am a member on their forums), but there's probably commentary out there on the internet. I think they had similar problems later in January on the inaguartion [2] Ironically enough, there's actually a number of anarchists posting on the Protest Warrior forums and sometimes the discussions between people of two completely different ideologies are interesting to read.
Thanks. I changed that line a little b/c it's unclear if the people grabbing the signs are anarchists or not. And I removed the dead link. It now reads "Later, there was a minor scuffle as some individuals tried to take some of the Protest Warriors' signs." Bubamara 4 July 2005 11:14 (UTC)
