Talk:Apress
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The bulk of this was written by a Juliemiller1. Julie Miller is the name of the Product Manager and main press contact at Apress [1]. I feel the advert tag was removed too quickly and I'm going to remove the inessential, extraneous stuff that reads like a company-produced fact sheet. Josephgrossberg 00:25, 16 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Expand? Notability?
I have read some Apress books and really like the company, so I was going to expand the article. After some browsing, however, I noticed that SAMS_Publishing, an even more prominent publisher, was marked for notability, so I am uncertain. I am going to investigate the notability of publishers like this. Should this article be expanded, or should it be expunged?. --David Gannon (talk) 12:02, 5 December 2007 (UTC)
O'Reilly Media, a similar, but older and more substantial publisher has an extensive article, and there does not appear to be anyone disputing the notability of its content. I am considering giving this article the same treatment. Yay, nay? --David Gannon (talk) 12:15, 5 December 2007 (UTC)
- I think Apress and SAMS are both notable tech publishers. Josephgrossberg (talk) 13:26, 5 December 2007 (UTC)
- I came here to get information on Apress. Wikipedia should give information, so I assume that Apress is notable. AleyCZ (talk) 02:48, 22 February 2008 (UTC)
