Apnea or Apneatic (real name Amanda Pemberton[1][2]), born in Houston, Texas on July 26, 1985, is a nude model and is popular amongst the Goth/pin-up/erotic online community. She started her modeling career in 2003 with her husband, Philip Warner, as her photographer.[3][4]

Between 2003 and 2005, Apnea modeled for SuicideGirls, an alt porn and softcore nude website. During this time she submitted nine photo sets to them and on February 2004, Apnea was featured on Playboy.com[5]
She later joined DeviantNation.com on December 23, 2005 and submitted four photo sets to them and is still an active member of this community.[6]
She used ‘Apneatic’ as her screen name when she joined GodsGirls.com on April 6, 2006 and states on her profile that she joined GodsGirls.com because she was on the rebound. She submitted a total of 18 sets to them.[7]
On June 16, 2006, Apnea claimed in a journal entry on GodsGirls.com[8] that she would be appearing on the Korean E! Channel.
Since then, Apnea has been published in over 30 publications including 5 covers and has started exploring her acting career.[3] She has worked with Christine Kessler, Perry Gallagher, Matthew Cooke, and Steve Diet Goedde. Philip Warner, a.k.a. Lithium Picnic, being her favorite, does most of her photo shoots.[3]

She models under either "Apnea" or "Apneatic". Her husband helped her come up with the name ‘Apnea’ and she liked the way it sounded and he thought it could be some kind of metaphor for taking one's breath away.
On April 7, 2006 Apnea claims in a journal entry on GodsGirls.com[8] that she made up the word Apneatic which became the name of her successful paysite, called Apneatic.com: "I made up the word 'Apneatic'. I really did. 'Apneic' is the correct adjective derived from 'Apnea'."
