A 46-second excerpt of a live recording made by an audience member, from Pink Floyd's performance at Hakone, Kanagawa, Japan, on August 6, 1971. This recording contains the "early" lyrics for Echoes that were used in live performances from April to August of that year.

Though this recording is subject to copyright, its use is covered by the U.S. fair use laws because:

• The included 46-second sample represents less than 5% of the original recording. A good-faith effort has been made to edit the recording to be as short as possible without truncating the verse.
• It does not in any way interfere with the copyright holder's usage, as (1) this recording has never been commercially available, (2) less than 5% of the original recording has been used, and (3) the quality has been reduced from the original.
