[edit] Overly redundant

While it's an interesting read and all, much of this info is essentially just Ranma's, Genma's, Happosai's, etc style info just repeated again. I might see more use for this if there were a ton of people using the styles, but pretty much this ends up being a recap of the character info we already have on the character pages.Derekloffin 20:25, 1 November 2006 (UTC)

I noticed this too; either a rewrite or quick summary referring to the full treatment of the techniques on this page on the respective characters' pages may be in order, which would also keep the chara pages from getting too long. --BrokenSphere 15:56, 17 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] What about the "demondog's shout"?

In chapter 202, page 4, Genma shows Ranma a technique that may be called "the demondog's shout" (I don't know, all I have is a swedish version of the book). I think the technique is very funny, so it should be in the article. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 80.251.207.7 (talk) 20:41, 7 May 2007 (UTC).

[edit] More image removal - here too

Similar to the issues I've raised on the independent character techniques talk page, the # of illustrative images in use could be culled down here as well to place emphasis on a character's recurring or most important techniques, while the minor ones need not be illustrated, such as sixth sense and Happosai's use of shiatsu, both of which are adequately explained. As another example, Soun's samurai armor could go, and the umisenken is illustrated twice, but since Ranma has more of his techniques highlighted, his example could be removed but Genma's kept. The sixth sense is shown multiple times for both Ryoga, Akane, Ukyo and Ranma. The samurai armour is used regularly, as is the aura head. Happosai's shiatsu doesn't need illustration. I agree that Ranma's Umisen-ken image could go, with Genma's kept, as could some silly or less useful 1-time techniques like the 'hell's cradle', and maybe the snake-fist, but I noticed that I had the good sense not to illustrate most of them the first time around. Ryu is a 1-arc character but I think the images shown are ones he uses multiple times (the 'iron fang fingers' and 'heart-ripper' are variations on the same move) Konatsu is the most glaring oversight. The yokai head is OK to keep, but the description "traditional samurai armor" I think conveys what it looks like, and so does the description for sixth sense. If the descrip can stand on its own without the benefit of a pic and is either minor or seen once if a few times, these could go. The pic of the two Ranmas is also redundant. Pulling based on what you've mentioned plus this one. BrokenSphereMsg me 14:53, 29 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Move to Anything Goes Martial Arts?

I'm pretty sure this is speedy-able, but guidelines say to prefer official English names. I'm going to move this to Anything Goes Martial Arts. Axem Titanium (talk) 22:22, 24 February 2008 (UTC)
