Anya Beyersdorf

Anya Beyersdorf[1] (born 22 December 1982) is an Australian actress, born in Armidale, NSW.
Anya is the lead actress in the new Australian feature, Rats and Cats, the dark comedic film debut from the award winning team behind the AFI winning SBS series “Wilfred”. The film premiered to rave reviews at the Melbourne International Film Festival and will be released nationally in 2008.
Other film work includes highly acclaimed lead performances in the 2007 Dendy Award nominated AFC film “Love’s Labour” [2] directed by Natasha Pincus (Sydney Film Festival 2007, St Kilda Film Festival 2007, Dungog Film Festival 2007) and the AFI nominated Film Victoria “Dugong” [3]directed by Erin White (Sundance 2008) (Aspenfest 2007), (Melbourne International Film Festival 2007),(Dungog Film Festival 2007).
Other work includes her breakthrough performance as troubled teen Miranda Eason on “Stingers”, guest episodes on Blue Heelers as Jacqui Hatcher, on Canal Road as Tracey, [4] as well as playing the title role of Emma in “Emma and the Barista” (ABC TV, 07), winning the Platinum Remi for best short film at the Texas Worldfest International Film Festival.[5]
