Antonio Canales Rosillo

Antonio Canales Rosillo (Monterrey, Nuevo León, 1802Camargo, Tamaulipas, 1852) was a Mexican military leader who served as commander-in-chief of the army of the Republic of the Rio Grande during the short existence of the separatist republic in 1840.

Canales eventually abandoned the cause of the Republic of the Rio Grande and received a commission as Brigadier General in the Mexican Army, sealing the fate of the Rio Grande republic.
