Antipater Etesias

Antipater Etesias (d. 279 BC) was the nephew of Cassander. He became king after the death of Ptolemy Keraunos and the ousting of Meleager. His reign lasted only few months before he was killed by his cousin Sosthenes. The Macedonians gave Antipater the name Etesias, because the Etesian winds blow at the short time that he was king.
