Anthony Sparks

Anthony Sparks is an American television writer and playwright. His writing credits, among others, include the ABC Family series, Lincoln Heights and the CBS drama The District.
Among his plays, Ghetto Punch has appeared in several venues across the country and was featured in American Theatre magazine.
Anthony began his career as an actor and appeared as a lead in the Broadway tour of the international hit theatre show, STOMP.
Originally from Chicago, Illinois where he attended Whitney Young Academic Center and Whitney Young Magnet High School. He graduated with honors from the University of Southern California.
One of only a small number of African-American male television writers and producers, Anthony recently received a 2008 NAACP Image Award nomination for Outstanding Dramatic Writing.
