From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Anthony E. Zuiker (born 17 August 1968) is the creator and executive producer of the television show CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. He produces all three editions of the CSI franchise: CSI: Crime Scene Investigation , CSI: Miami and CSI: NY. Zuiker was born in Blue Island, Illinois, but his family moved to Las Vegas, Nevada.
Be careful that his name is Zuiker, and not Zucker, the surname of a noted American show-business family of writers and producers.
Anthony Zuiker attended the University of La Verne, in La Verne, California, and then transferred to the University of Nevada at Las Vegas, where he graduated.
It is believed that Mr. Zuiker was developing his ideas for the television show while working at Steve Wynn's resort, The Mirage, as a valet attendant/bellhop/tram host.
On October 25, 2007, he received the Big Brother Award Austria 2007 in the category of communication and marketing. The jury stated among other things, "The CSI television series present computer surveillance, DNA-analysis and the overthrow of civil rights in an uncritical, trivialized and dangerously onesided kind of way". Furthermore the rights of people in general and the suspects in particular would be pictured primarily as impediments of investigations.

A new school theater is named after him: the Anthony E. Zuiker Theater at the Chaparral High School, Las Vegas, Nevada. Mr. Zuiker was a 1986 graduate of this high school.
