Anthology is Oingo Boingo's third compilation album. This two-disc career retrospective is the first Oingo Boingo release to contain material from the band's work with I.R.S. Records, A&M Records, MCA Records, and Giant Records.

• This album marks the first (and as of 2008, only) appearance of the studio version of "Ain't This The Life" on a digital format.
• "We Close Our Eyes (Live)", "Whole Day Off (Live)", and "Insects (Live)" contain extra dialogue that was included on the video release of Farewell: Live from the Universal Amphitheater, Halloween 1995, but not on the double album.
• "Intro-Tender Lumplings (Live)" is also taken from video release of Farewell: Live from the Universal Amphitheater, Halloween 1995.
• The version of "Goodbye, Goodbye" contained on this album is the 1988 Boingo Alive re-recording, and not the original 1982 recording for the film Fast Times at Ridgemont High.
