Ant (newspaper)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Ant ('Oath') was a leftwing weekly publication in Turkey, which first appeared in 1967. Ant supported the Workers Party of Turkey (TİP), and wished to overbrigde differences between the TİP and other sectors of the left. Ant stressed that struggle for socialism and the struggle against imperialism had to be combined.
However in the early 1970s, Ant drifted away from TİP. It began advocating the build-up of a new revolutionay party and gradually it began arguing for the urban guerrilla line.[1]
