[edit] Anshar = Assur?

I read somewhere that Anshar was a distinct deity from Asshur and that the Assyrians syncretized the two to elevate Asshur. Confirmation? --Tydaj 04:38, 13 September 2005 (UTC)

You're right on that one, I have corrected it. Djaser 17:16, 29 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Summerian version?

Unlike what the article says I do not believe that Anshar was known in Summerian mythology. He plays a role in the Akkadian Enuma Elish as child of Tiamat and Absu and doesn't have a Summerian name. Djaser 17:16, 29 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Father of Enki and Ninlil?

The previous version of the article says the following:

they are the parents of [[Anu]] and [[Ea]]. (and, in some traditions, [[Enlil]]).
