Ansar Abbasi is an investigative editor for one of the leading newspapers from Pakistan, The News International.
Ansar has published work critical of the regime of President Pervez Musharraf in Pakistan. In a radio debate with Pakistan Law Minister Wasi Zafar, he was harassed by the minister regarding the controversial removal of the Chief Justice of Pakistan, Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry.[citation needed]
