Anokhi Kahaniyan is a popular children's magazine in Pakistan. It is published and edited by Mehboob Elahi Makhmoor since 1991. The first issue of Anokhi Kahaniyan came out on 10 August 1991. The first three issues were jointly edited by Mr. Mustufa Hashmi, Mr. Rauf Aslam Araeen, Shahid Ali Sahar and Mehboob Elahi Makhmoor. Later in December 1991, the whole responsibility of Anokhi Kahaniyan was taken by Mr. Elahi Bax Chiti, Noor Muhammad Hashmi and Mehboob Elahi Makhmoor. The late Mr. Elahi Bax Chiti, father of Mehboob Elahi Makhmoor, had a great contribution in the establishment of Anokhi Kahaniyan. In early stages, Anokhi Kahaniyan suffers a lot of financial problems but Mr. Bax does not let his son worry about money. At this time, Anokhi Kahaniyan is in the ranking of the most popular children's magazines of Pakistan. Many popular writer for Children's literature had started their writing from Anokhi Kahaniyan.
