Anne, Duchess of Calabria (née Anne of Orléans, Princess of France), was born on 4 December 1938, in Woluwe-Saint-Pierre, Belgium.

Princess Anne is the 3rd daughter and the 5th child of the Orléanist claimant to the French throne, HRH Henri, Count of Paris (1908-1999), and his wife HRH Princess Isabelle of Orléans-Braganza (1911-2003), princess of Orléans-Braganza.

[edit] Marriage

On 12 May 1965, Princess Anne of Orléans married, at Dreux, in France, Don Carlos of Bourbon-Two Sicilies, Duke of Calabria and Head of the Royal House of Two Sicilies. Prince Carlos is the son of Don Alfonso of Bourbon-Two Sicilies, Duke of Calabria (1901-1964) and Princess Alice of Bourbon-Parma (born 1917). Princess Anne met Prince Carlos in Athens, in 1962, at the wedding of King Juan Carlos of Spain and Queen Sophia of Spain.

Prince Pedro of Bourbon-Two Sicilies, Duke of Noto (born 1968 in Madrid), married morganatically Sofia Landaluce y Melgarejo (born 1973) in 2001 at Madrid. He married without his father's dynastic consent, and his children do not enjoy dynastic titles or rights.
