[edit] ANN link

Is the "(anime)" specification is really necessary after the ANN link? For example, in the Wolf's Rain article, where there are two separate sets of links for the TV series and the OVA, it looks absolutely redundant and excessive. And in case, there is a manga and an anime adaption of it, one can still specify which is which with the "title" parameter of the {{anime-links}}. --Koveras  06:38, 11 February 2008 (UTC)

I personally prefer having it in the ANN link for consistency across articles and with the main ANN link. For Wolf's rain, I'm about to clean those up...the AnimeNFO pages rarely add anything not already found on ANN. Collectonian (talk) 06:45, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
But do we really need the suffix in "the main ANN link" in the first place? --Koveras  16:31, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
I think we do. Most pages cover both the manga and anime versions on a single page, so its better to go ahead and include it in the link. Collectonian (talk) 16:33, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
Cannot it be included in the "title" parameter where necessary? There are enough shows that either have original screenplays or were never adapted to mangas. What I have problem with is that the addition "(anime)" disrupts the layout of this template in general, since neither of the other "main templates" have anything like that. --Koveras  18:18, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
It doesn't bother me, personally, but the question as a whole should probably be brought to the project's attention to allow for fuller discussion. Collectonian (talk) 18:31, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
Started a discussion. --Koveras  19:42, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
