Animation Nation is an annual festival held in Singapore featuring animation feature films, animation shorts, seminars, and workshops. It was founded in 2004 and is organised by the Singapore Film Society.
The 5th Animation Nation festival will be held from 24 October to 2 November 2008 at Alliance Française de Singapour and the upcoming Fusionopolis. This marks a change from its previous venue which was at the National Museum of Singapore's Gallery Theatre. Other venues would be library@esplanade and *scape.
[edit] Programme
The festival consists of several feature films and approximately forty shorts divided into three sections. There is also a local segment called the Singapore Showcase which portray animation works by Singaporeans. This is to promote local talent and bring awareness to the public.
