Animal Crackers (1937 comic strip)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Animal Crackers was a comic strip that ran intermittently from 1937 through 1952, and was the work of Dick Ryan and Warren Goodrich. The San Francisco Chronicle has described it as a "snappy little one-frame strip [that] featured a variety of animal life dealing with various silly situations of a human nature" and as a comic "which went on to acclaim in syndication."[1] The Chronicle printed the comic on its front page next to the weather report.[2] Animal Crackers was syndicated by the Chicago Sun-Times,[2] and was syndicated to over 100 papers.[3]
