Talk:Anglo-Dutch Treaty of 1814
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Hello, according to the history of the netherlands: how can it be that the treaty was signed 1814 between the united kingdom and the republic of the united provinces when this dutch state had existed only until 1795? please take a look at Low Countries. cheers --Lofor 21:09, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
- The UK is a very modern nomenature for the United Kingdom - post-1960s decolonization at the very least. Contemporary literatures of the time only used Britain or Great Britain to describe the country. --JNZ 21:43, 29 August 2007 (UTC)
