Old hessian familyname. Originally Angerspah, then Angersbach. All today living members of this family are descendants of the noble family von Angersbach.

Meaning of the name is as follows: Anger = grass covered land / floating Water, res = Marsh, pah = Lake. See also village Angersbach.
