"Fossils are thousand to billions of years old." That's why such a statement should be... "Fossils are believed to be thousand to billions of years old."

At that point, you're just arguing semantics. Basically everything is "believed to be..." since nothing can be proven to a 100% certainty. Intranetusa (talk) 04:36, 17 January 2008 (UTC)
