I've listed Compressionism for deletion; you might want to check up on it. Melchoir 20:13, 4 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] External links

Hi Andrew,

Could you remove most of the external links that you've been adding today. As a rule we only want a few external links on each article (its much better to include the information in the article itself) and those that are there should be directly relevant to the article and provide information that isn't otherwise available.

This doesn't appear to be the case on many of the links you've added today. Take for example this one. For one thing the link doesn't go to a page about Stanley Spencer or his work. If I dig around enough on the MOMA Wales web site, I can see that you have one of his paintings in your collection. But a one line mention on an inventory list is of no benefit to Wikipedia readers, so there really is no point in having that link on the Stanley Spencer page.

It would be acceptable to leave any links where MOMA Wales has the world's largest collection of that particular painter, but the rest should be removed. For more see Wikipedia:External links and Wikipedia:Spam. -- Solipsist 14:38, 17 March 2006 (UTC)
