[edit] Move to Andal

The correct spelling is not Ondal but Andal. This is in all government records. Performing a move to Andal. Crackjack (talk) 21:51, 24 January 2008 (UTC)

The move to Andal is okay but I wonder why it was moved to Andal (India). Normally, only the name of the place is used unless there is a need for disambiguation. Even if a disambiguation is required, I would have preferred it to be Andal, Bardhaman. The place is better identified with the district. - P.K.Niyogi (talk) 00:21, 25 January 2008 (UTC)
Census records use the spelling Ondal and the page was therefore created (not by me) with that spelling. This is for the purpose of recording. - P.K.Niyogi (talk) 00:32, 25 January 2008 (UTC)
All West Bengal government records use the name Andal. Any gov.in website will refer to Andal. Not only that, the word Andal is much more frequently used than Ondal while referring to Andal. Ondal hardly refers it, and the only valid reference is the wiki page itself. Also Andal (India) was made since Andal is already refering to the Tamil saint.Crackjack (talk) 00:54, 25 January 2008 (UTC)
Tamil saint is spelt as Aandaal. Even if there is a confusion, I feel the page should be Andal, Bardhaman. - P.K.Niyogi (talk) 01:44, 25 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Marshalling yard

Now there are new GOOGLE MAPS pictures including Andal with the marshalling yard's reception sidings, hump, retarders and departure sidings; but there is missing just the set of sorting sidings!! Does anyone know its exact number of tracks? Many thanks in advance! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.116.213.183 (talk) 22:03, 8 June 2008 (UTC)
