Andrzej Schinzel

Andrzej Schinzel (b. 1935 in Sandomierz, Poland) is a Polish mathematician, studying mainly number theory. His principal interest is the theory of polynomials. He is a professor at the Institute of Mathematics of the Polish Academy of Sciences (IM PAN). A conjecture of his on the prime values of polynomials, known as Schinzel's hypothesis H, has attracted attention of many number theorists.
Schinzel received his Ph.D. in 1960 from Warsaw University.[1]
