Andrey Tissin

Andrey Tissin (Russian: Андрей Тиссин, 5 July 1975 - 1 March 2008) was a Russian flatwater canoe racer. As a member of Russia's K4 kayak crew he won the 500 Metre World Championship title in 2001.
Tissin was three times a European champion, in 1999 (K4 200 m and 500 m) and 2001 (K4 500 m). His most recent success came in the 2004 European Championships where he won the K4 500m bronze medal.
Tissin lived in Krasnodar. He was 1.86 m (6'1") tall and weighed 90 kg (198 lb).
He died in a water accident on 1 March 2008. [1]
