Andrew Francis Volpe (born on January 4, 1980 in St. Louis, Missouri) is a St. Louis musician and composer, and the lead singer and guitarist of the band Ludo.
Volpe began singing at age 8 and started playing guitar 10 years later because his sister had one that she never played, and it looked "invitingly lonely."[citation needed] He plays a Fender DeVille.

He started making music in band class, playing the clarinet in the fifth, sixth, and seventh grades; then switching to alto sax, which he played through the twelfth grade.[citation needed]
Before Ludo, Volpe played with other bands, including Red Hot Roger, Karate Lunchbox, Pea-Whole Julio and the Chief Wiggam Funk Section, Sexy Men, The Thoughtful Rocket Monkeys, and Cards vs. Cubs.[citation needed]
