Andrew Burnham, SSC, ARCO (CHM) (b. 1948) is the current and 3rd Bishop of Ebbsfleet in the Diocese of Canterbury.

Burnham was born in Workshop, Nottinghamshire and studied Music at New College, Oxford. He later read theology at Ripon College Cuddesdon before going on to do a Certificate of Education at Westminster College. Following this, he became Head of Music at Bilborough Grammar School in Nottingham.

He trained for the ministry at St Stephen's House, Oxford, although following ordination he had issues with committing to the priesthood and leaving music, a great passion of his which formed a major part of his life. The Bishop of Southwell therefore suggested that he became a non-stipendiary priest. However, his wife Cathy eventually persuaded him to devote himself to full time ministry.[1]

From 1983 to 1985, Burnham was honorary curate at Clifton in the Diocese of Southwell as a non-stipendiary priest. In 1985, he became curate at Beeston in the same diocese from 1985 until 1987. He then became vicar of Carrington, leaving in 1994 following his appointment as Vice-Principal of St Stephen's House, Oxford; a role he took up in 1995.

He was announced as the third Bishop of Ebbsfleet on Tuesday 12 September 2000.[2]
