Andrew Ashworth

Andrew Ashworth is the Vinerian Professor of English Law at the University of Oxford and a Fellow of All Souls College. He is one of the UK's leading criminologists and has authored many prominent texts on the subject.
Ashworth was born in 1947 in Rochdale. He graduated from the London School of Economics with a degree in law and then went to Oxford to complete a BCL degree.
He is married to his second wife Veronica, with two daughters from his first marriage and three granddaughters.
