Andra Davis [pronounced Andre] (born December 23, 1978 in Live Oak, Florida) is an American football linebacker who currently plays for the NFL's Cleveland Browns. He is currently the team's starting strong-side inside linebacker. Davis was drafted by the Browns out of the University of Florida with the sixth pick in the fifth round of the 2002 NFL Draft. He led the NFL in tackles during the 2005 season.

Davis attended Suwanee High School where he was a three year starter. He was also the team captain for both his football and basketball teams.

Davis attended the University of Florida. During his career he played 35 games starting 23 of them. During that time he made 232 tackles, five sacks and four forced fumbles three of which were recovered. He was a Recreation program delivery major.

Davis was selected by the Cleveland Browns in the fifth round (141st overall) in the 2002 NFL Draft. He made his NFL debut versus the Kansas City Chiefs on September 8. He made four tackles in his rookie season.

During the 2003 campaign, Davis had an exceptional season. He earned the starting spot at middle linebacker and finished the season with 170 tackles, leading the team. He made ten or more tackles on eight separate occasions. On December 14 in a match played against the Denver Broncos he made 16 tackles, a career high.[1]

He made 89 tackles that season despite missing the final five games with a knee injury. He also made three interceptions, a career high.

He started in all 16 games and recorded 199 tackles, a career high and a figure which led the team. He made 20 tackles at the Green Bay Packers on September 18 which broke his previous record in 2003. He was named as the AFC Defensive Player of the week after recording 14 tackles in the 22-0 win versus the Miami Dolphins on November 20.

He started in 14 games and led the Browns with 133 tackles.

He made 104 tackles during th 2007 season.

Andra dedicates his time to local charities and children in need including the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Toys for Tots, Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital, the Cleveland Clinic, and as a youth director volunteer at his church school. He was currently recognized by former Steeler, Franco Harris, for his community work by putting Andra's face on Super Donuts and Super Buns.
