[edit] {{User Alternate Acct}}
Since you are using multiple accounts it is appropriate for you to add the above template to this alternate account. It is so the rest of us know you are not in COI or trying to bypass a legitimate ban on your other account. Thanks. Alatari (talk) 12:17, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
- Alatari obviously has a bee in his bonnet about something or other. Thank you for your contributions in the talk section of the self injury article and I hope that we can collaborate and improve this article to featured status. I have contributed significantly to the article, providing academic references, despite the fact that I am not a psychologist I still provide the correct references where necessary. Please do not hessitate to connect me if you feel you are being bullied in the future by personal attacks and I will do my best to support you. Cheers Jdrewitt (talk) 18:26, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
- The only person who has made any personal attacks was AncalagonTB on the SI article talk page. This is ironic that someone who is just attempting to play by the rules is being accused of attacks. It makes me laugh out loud. Alatari (talk) 02:18, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
- Please read Read These examples are not exclusive. Insulting or disparaging an editor is a personal attack regardless of the manner in which it is done. When in doubt, comment on the article's content without referring to its contributor at all. from WP:ATTACK, thanks. Alatari (talk) 02:50, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
I've had enough of this, you've been making unfounded accusations and from your own talk page it's clear you have a history of creating heated confrontations with other users on Wikipedia. In light of your previous problems I'm choosing not to dignify your rantings with a serious response. This is my final word on the topic. Jdrewitt has been contributing to the article and talk page far longer than you have, I defer to his stance. AncalagonTB (talk) 17:56, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
- I've been a serious editor and will continue to work on the SI page, you will need to figure out a way to work with me. I may not have been nice about it and for that I apologize. You certainly appeared to be yet another sockpuppet or meatpuppet intent on waging a POV edit war or some SI sufferer just there to discuss your personal affliction on a page dedicated to improving an article not to discussions of personal problems. It didn't occur to me you were the less likely anonymous user with shame over their personal history from SI. I have a history of it to but use my support circles to discuss the personal issues. WP can be a contentious place with people looking for edit wars and if you never get into a disagreement then you aren't doing a lot of editing or avoiding contentious topics. If you refrain from any attack language towards me we will get along famously. Alatari (talk) 18:22, 18 January 2008 (UTC)
- BTW, I have my own treatment that seems to help. I use a nail file (emory board?) to file down the numerous scars on my arms in order to improve the look of the scars so I'm not compelled to try and rip them off. It also helps with the itching and gives some relief. Scar patches help. But none of this can I source nor do I feel it's appropriate to post anywhere but a private talk page. That I can deal with, I'm not out to make enemies on Wikipedia and I'm sure you aren't either. I've been SI free for about 6-8 months, just haven't felt like doing it. I'm of the viewpoint that it's a coping mechanism and a symptom--my life has been great so the SI just hasn't been "needed". Anyway, hopefully we can work to improve the article to a higher status.
