Talk:Ancillary data

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I'm just looking for confirmation before editing this page - in the section on Embedded Audio, it claims that "In either case the embedded audio data packets are carried in the HANC space of Cb/Cr (chroma) parallel data stream. In addition, both standards define audio control packets. The audio control packets are carried in the HANC space of the Y (luminance) parallel data steam...", however when testing a de-embedder I noticed that under HD that is true (embedded audio packets are in the HANC space of Cb/Cr, audio control packets are in the HANC space of Y), but under the SD case, the data is split across both channels, requiring a re-interleaver to properly see the data. Can anyone else confirm this, I don't want to change the description based on our only test signal source here.
