"Ancestors" is the eleventh track on the 2004 album Medúlla by Icelandic singer Björk.
Ancestors is a duet between Tanya Tagaq Gillis and Björk. The song compromises of only whispers, moans, and throat music, with no actual lyrics and the backing of a piano. Even though praised for its risk, many times Ancestors was dubbed as the unbearable track of Medulla, yet the most experimental.[1]. Most critics though did praise the song for its risk while also giving the album strong reviews. Many have stated that its her riskiest song in her entire career.
