I am not competent to authoritatively edit this page but it looks as though "Since they can donate an electron" should be replaced by "Since they can donate a PROTON".

Just like single protons can be donated or accepted, same applies to electrons - transfers are not limited to electron pairs - also single electrons can be transferred between species.Ndzodan 06:15, 21 October 2007 (UTC)
