Amphipappus is a monotypic genus in the daisy family which contains the single species Amphipappus fremontii. It is known commonly as the chaffbush. This is a branching shrub which grows up to about half a meter in height. It is native to the southwestern United States, where its rounded clumps are scattered about dry, rocky areas.
