Ampère's law
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Ampère's law may refer to either of two laws with his name:
- Ampère's circuital law, which relates the integrated magnetic field around a closed loop to the electric current passing through the loop,
- Ampère's force law, which describes the force of attraction or repulsion between two current-carrying wires, and is the basis for the SI units definition for the unit of current, the ampere.
