Nowadays, the use of information and communication technology is undeniable. It affects a lot for human life, including for the blind. In Indonesia, computer for the blind begin to be developed. The technology is text – to – speech synthesizer. It can convert the information from screen into the form of voice. Besides text – to – speech synthesizer, the Indonesian researchers is also developing image – to – text synthesizer with the use of camera. The camera is the sensor to catch picture of surrounding. The image convert into text and with the use of text – to – speech synthesizer, the output is in the form of voice. May the fast – growing technology can help the blind more. Let’s make things better, because the future is have to be bright for all.
