I am just spitballing, this is all open for change
- early period (was there an equivalent to the Namamugi Incident of the British?...)
- early 20th century (vide List of foreign residents in Japan (December 1941))
- occupation period has an article
- postwar-students, cultural exchanges
- perennial misdeeds/scandals of US military personnel Category:United States military in Japan
- there is a POV blurb at Law enforcement in Japan#Foreign community relations, but if specifics could be found and sourced, this may be usable
